"Adan Nava and his team did a fantastic job. He came to our home, gave my wife and I an estimate, a timeframe that the job would take and a time that his team would be able to start. We accepted and totally LOVE the job he did"
Paul B - Poplar Grove
"We recently had the interior of our house painted and could not be happier with the outcome. Everything about the experience was exceptional. Nava Painting is a great company to work with. Highly recommend using this company if you are looking for a very professional job along with great customer service. Thank you Nava Painting!"

"Can't say enough about Nava Painting. We've used several painters over the years but Nava is the best. Fast response to quote requests, attention to every detail, beautiful work, clean and efficient. Did I mention very competitive rates. We just had them paint over yucky yellowed golden oak and it's like a new house. Very happy with results." - Christine S
Ask this question when you first contact the company so you know what to expect from the get-go. Ask what the estimate includes. So that you can make an even comparison of all the bids you receive, ask each company to include the following in their estimate:
• Prep work
• Anticipated amount of paint and primer
• Any extra supplies
Go for in-home estimates rather than estimates given out over the phone. An in-home estimate allows the estimator to capture more detail about the project. It also helps the estimator predict any areas that may require extra work, and thus, extra costs.
Ask the company to provide a list of homeowners you can contact about their experiences with the company. Don’t be afraid to ask the references if you can come see the paint job in person.
Request a portfolio, too. Painters might not update their websites frequently. However, they usually have pictures of their best work that they can share with you.
You’ll want to know what paint brands they offer. It’s important to choose the highest-quality paint you can afford. Going with a high-quality brand will ensure that you don’t have to repaint in a year or two.
Discuss paint finish types with the contractor as well. Some finishes are better suited than others to the different rooms in your house. An experienced painter can guide you on what works best in your kitchen versus your master bedroom, for example.
Is wall sanding and wood or drywall repair part of the prep work? What about covering and moving furniture? If you need furniture covered or moved, be sure to bring that up. You’ll need to work with your contractor to figure out who handles moving furniture around.
Also ask what work goes into the project after it’s done. If it’s an exterior painting job, ask if they’ll re-hang gutters and downspouts.
Reputable painting contractors will back up their work. Ask for warranty details. Many companies offer workmanship warranties and back manufacturer warranties. When you’ve chosen your contractor, be sure to get their warranty details in writing.
